The Secret Speakers Giveaway

I'm holding a Secret Speakers Giveaway, where anyone who enters has a chance to win a Kindle, and more. I just put the sign-up form on the Secret Speakers website today. Hop on over! The winner will be announce on June 1st. I'll print up the names, cut each one into a fold-able piece of paper, and shake 'em all up in a jar. Just to be 100% on the up and up, I'll video tape it and pull out the winning name for all to see. Read more about the other prizes . . .

And the other prizes, in addition to a Kindle are . . . a signed, numbered pre-publication copy of Secret Speakers and the Search for Selador's Gate, along with the audio book, performed by Simon Vance, who is one of Booklist's very few Voice of Choice narrators.

Here's the story: I still have one Kindle left over from the big Kindle giveaway from a Secret Speakers event I held on Goodreads last year, where four were given away as prizes. The fifth winner changed their profile name and I haven't been able to contact her.

So guess what? Yes, I've managed to exercise self-control and not keep it for myself. I've nearly asked to be duct-taped to my chair, and I'm proud to say it remains unopened. (Actually, I pulled the thing to open the box because I couldn't find the personally addressed gift cards and thought it might be inside. It turns out the "gift card" was printed in very small print on the invoice.)
